Who we are
We do our best every day to make our customers happy
In August, 2017, on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach, Joellyn passed a “4:20” store. There was a sign saying "CBD/Hemp Products Here". Shocked and somewhat in disbeief, she went in to investigate. Sure enough, there were CBD/Hemp products for sale! So many wonderful products. She knew right there, at that moment, she would open a dispensary of her own and share the goodness of the earth in service to her community.
Working diligently to make that happen, she spent many hours working with the Small Business Center at the local community college, as well as educating law enforcement and other county officials on just what CBD was and what it wasn't. Eventually she was granted a business license. On 1/3/18, she received a small investment which gave the boost needed to bring her dream into a reality.
And here we are today. My Green Room is a successful, woman-owned company (LLC.) full of down home, home town people - on both sides of the counter. My Green Room is located in a 3000 sq ft storefront in Downtown Spindale, NC. We have enough space for ample shopping as well as a production area where we make the bulk of what we sell. If we don’t make it, we try our darndest to find the products locally. Supporting local farmers and producers is very important to us. Almost everything we sell is made in NC!
Joellyn lives in Ellenboro, NC with her husband, Mike. They have 2 great kids, 4 incredible grandkids, 3 spunky dogs and 2 cats. For those of you that have been following their journey, MIKE RECEIVED HIS TRANSPLANT on 2/25/21! Mike and Joellyn are so beyond thankful for the Donor and the Donor’s Family as well as all the prayers.

~ Will I fail a drug test?
It is very unlikely you will fail a drug test if you are using CBD products. You will not feel any effects of being high. ~ If CBD works for me, can I stop taking prescribed medicine given to me by doctor?
We do not encourage anyone to stop taking their Dr. prescribed medications. If you feel you want to, please contact the prescribing doctor. We are not Doctors, we are Hemp Enthusiasts wanting to share CBD products with everyone.
~ How does CBD work?
CBD binds to the cannabinoid receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system. Almost all cell and tissue types of a human body contain these receptors. These receptors are involved with regulating moods, memory, appetite and pain sensations. The receptors have 2 categories, CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are mainly found in the central nervous system. Smaller quantities of receptors are found in the kidneys, lungs and liver. CB2 receptors are part of the immune system and hematopoietic blood cells. Since the receptors encompass so many parts of the body, cannabinoids can be used in many ways.
~ What are the side effects of CBD?
Research has shown CBD is completely safe. Some people have reported lightheadedness and dry mouth.
Please note: CBD oil that is made with propylene glycerol, when vaped or burned, produces formaldehyde (cancer causing agent).
